Additional INCOME Streams

It’s all about having excess income! The income may come from investments or it may come from a traditional job. However you get it, excess income means you can live a life without debt and stress from having to worry about running out of money. If you are low on excess income then it’s time to learn about your spending decisions and commit to finding ways to get another income stream.

In the next series of blog posts, I want to show you some of the ways that you can do that with a full-time job. I am a wife, mother of three, and have a full-time job so I know if I can find income sources to add to my busy life, you can do them too!

First, let’s talk a little about … AFFILIATE MARKETING.

I have been writing this blog for two years now, and I do love it. I love getting to write about a subject that I feel expert in and know that I can help others with that knowledge. Blogging itself does not pay me anything! :/ lol   I have written for others for a fee but under their name, not my own or my blog’s name. I don’t need my name on it but that is time-consuming work. It is by no means passive income. With my life commitments, I need something more passive that does not need quite so much focus.

I see lots of beauty blogs and cooking blogs that have been able to sell products they use. PRoduct companies see an increase in sales because of it and reward bloggers or reviews for those product mentions and referrals. Of course! That’s a great way to say thank you!

This is what we call affiliate marketing! Product promoters are called affiliates of the product company. They tell people about a product and offering a unique sales link on their website or social media post that will tell the product company that the seller referred a buyer to their product. The affiliate gets credit for the sale and is compensated for that sale.

What I have a problem with is finding bloggers writing a blog post purely to earn a commission or a payment to promote a product they have never used or will never use. I like reviews but I want to trust that the recommendation for me to purchase something comes from a true belief it is valuable not because someone got paid to say so.

With that said, I have decided to begin including some affiliate marketing in my articles. I will do this with products I believe in only, and I will have done research on their quality! I have no intention of promoting things just for the sake of getting paid. So let’s get started and I can share with you my money making progress as I go along!!
